Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon for UHS Sports Medicine in Binghamton NY

A player you most enjoyed playing with? Why?
I think Dean was the lightest Lock I ever played with and he was a pleasure to lift, I remember everyone happily. I definitely enjoyed playing against Shalom if that counts...

Quote / Tip for life
Some of the best years of my life were spent with the Boys from TARFC and the women of TAWRFC. Very grateful.

What else?
My wife Razi and I gave all of our children Israeli names such as Amiella, Emuna and Idan and plan on regular visits to keep connected with all of our friends.
Jazz the Boxer died in 2011 Jasmine is 14 or so and still around.

What were you doing here that time?
I was diamond polisher working for Amanta which became Antwerp Diamonds I believe.

Did you, and where played rugby before Tel Aviv? 
Yes I did in England for my High School & then for their Old Boys.(Ashmole School & then Old Ashmolians).

Have you been playing since, where?
I live now in Cleveland ,Ohio.Where I played for an Old Boys team called The F.O.G.S.Which stood for The F--king Old Guys.My last game was about two years ago.

What are you doing now?
Still living here, semi retired work part time & have a small diamond setting business.Two sons Ben & Evan 28 & 23 plus a Grand Son named Greyson.

A player you most enjoyed playing with? Why?
Three or four actually Charlie Goldin , Selwyn Passwell,Peter Fuchs & of course Glenn Wilson.The first three because of their dedication & love for our sport & are/ were great mates.Glenn Wilson who really showed us how to play the game & was potenially an International quality player.(He said he was a sub for Scotland).

Position:  Hooker and Flanker

Occupation at that time: Completing Medical Doctorate at the time at Tel Aviv University, Sackler School of Medicine

Rugby before Tel Aviv:  University California San Diego, San Diego, California, USA (1995-2000)

While playing for Tel Aviv: Selected to Israeli National Rugby Team (2003-2004), part of the championship winning team at 2003-2004 season.

Rugby after Tel Aviv:   Wharton Business School Rugby Team, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA (2006-2009) (Team Doctor)
                                Santa Monica Beach Boks Social Rugby Club, Los Angeles, California, USA (2009-2010)

Currently: Playing Rugby Socially and Practicing Medicine
Director of Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation  and Director of High Risk Infant Progress Clinic at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Beverly Hills, California; Also currently in private practice for pediatric and adult rehabilitation medicine.  Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Clinical Research Staff at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, Los Angeles.

Personal note: Its gorgeous here in sunny southern california.  I am loving being near family and work has been very rewarding. Its funny as I now see so many patients who get injured in sports, i specialized in rehabilitation medicine in which I take care of patients with spine and brain injury including concussions - full 180 from causing the injuries to treating the injuries.  Still single and living the bachelor life. Miss Israel and the mates tons.  I play rugby on the beach on the weekends and its good fun and very laid back.  Cant wait for you to come and visit.
